idea was sown in 1986 under the impetus of the Birraux family:
create a pharmaceutical group to meet all demands in the field of natural
remedies - plants, homeopathy, nutritional supplements and hygiene products.
The Group gradually acquired the PLANTES TROPICALES (LPT) and THERANAT laboratories, the VALESCO homeopathic laboratories in Belgium, the IPHYM laboratories, the herb products business of the GIFRER & BARBEZAT laboratories and very recently the PHARMA & PLANTES laboratories. Today, the leading pharmaceutical herb product group, IPHYM PHARMA & PLANTES offers a consistent range covering the dispensing chemist medicinal plant market in all its forms. |

The
IPHYM PHARMA & PLANTES
business is grouped on a 10,000 m² site at Beynost in central France,
less than 15 minutes from Lyons. This small town in the heart of the rural zone of the Ain département is the ideal environment for our needs. The laboratory is housed in a 2,200 m² building, totally given over to pharmaceutical plants. It is capable of processing over 130 tonnes of medicinal plants annually. It is fitted for small production runs of single-dose sachets, cellophane and paper sachets and specialised workshops are put aside for working with fragile plants by hand. |
